2014 has rolled around and I, for one, was completely ill prepared for it. Time is rushing by just like…um…some really trite metaphor for the quick passage of time.
Hmmm. I think you can see why I haven’t updated this site for a while. My creative juices have evaporated to the point where all that’s left is little bits of creative crust at the bottom of my glass. (I see it still isn’t in top form yet). Anyhow, I’ve decided to take this as a challenge this year. Rather than let it languish I’m going to stare my life in the face and make some much needed changes. For instance, this site. I’m going to take the time to update this thing on a regular basis again as well as redesign it. If there’s one thing that I’ve missed it is that this site has gotten a little old and rusty due to the lack of updates and use. Well, dangnabbit, let’s change that. While we’re at it let’s look at the other things that I’ll be changing:
- I’ll work on illustrating again
- I’ll finally finish the first draft of the book I’m writing (which also depends on the above list item)
- Travel more
- Drink less
- Work other interests outside of my current profession
- Spend more quality time with my family
- Take my health a little more seriously
- Take more pictures!
- Take more videos!
- Less social media!
I’m sure there are more introspective items that I can try to change but those are things that I’ll take on when I’m challenged by them.
