Decisions. I have a hard time making decisions. Pancakes or waffles? Black socks or gray socks? Pizza or pizza? So, lo and behold I’m trying to come up with a good way to make a between a possible new car that Angela and I will be shopping for. And trust me, this is going to be a doozy.
A little background story – Angela and I take turns picking out cars. Technically, I chose last when my 1998 Jeep died. Technically. Angela says it is still my turn since we made that decision under duress. I say it is her turn. She chose the 350Z and that’s the car we would trade in. So, here are our choices:
I refuse to get a BMW or Mercedes, although Angela was talking about an SL500 but…meh. Of course, then again she was also babbling on about a Saleen S7 she saw today. Oooh. S7. S-Club 7. Rachel Stevens. Meow. I think I can talk Angela out of taking our name off the waiting list for a Tesla, too.
There are some ‘knowns’ about this purchase, though: I won’t buy a Ford or a Chevy or a Dodge. Odds are I won’t even buy a Japanese car, either. What exactly is there? A Lexus? Meh.
So, anyone have any suggestions out there? You see the cars we’re considering so you can guess what our price range is.
THANK GOODNESS! NOW GET THAT HARPIE WIFE OF YOURS TO STOP WHINING ABOUT MY ASTON!!
I should key my own car just to spite her 😉
Angela, I am considering trading it for a newer model Vanquish S.
Have you looked at the Acura TL?

The only reason that I would push you in the Japanese direction is because of the lower occurrence of unexpected repairs.
I’ll have to ask Angela about that when she gets back from the beach. We have friends who love their TLs. They’re pretty peppy, too. I think we may opt for a convertible, though.
I saw a Lotus Exige on the street the other day. That’s a rarity around these parts. I thought it was a little weird looking but at that price it seems like it might fit your needs. Four cylinders, though.
