The house music act, Swedish House Mafia, is quite an enigma. They broke onto the music scene in 2008 and, let’s be honest, they might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Some people who aren’t into house music will comment that they’re just a bunch of blooping-bleeping noises set to a drum track with the same type of droning ‘duh-duh-duh-duh’ noise by a piano or synthesizer. Others who may not be clued into the music scene may even be asking ‘Does Sweden even have a mafia?!’ Personally, I enjoy some of their music, such as their 2010 hit ‘One’ and the even more popular ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ (if you’re sensitive scantily clad bodies traipsing across your screen you may not want to look up that last one on YouTube). Their latest song, though, is called ‘Save the World’.
The latest song by Swedish House Mafia kind of asks the question: Who’s going to save the world? It looks like their answer is going to save the world is…dogs.
So, a few observations about this video:
- It reminded me of the dog rallying scene in 101 Dalmations
- It’s a Golden Retreiver. Was it really trying to stop the mugger or was it greeting him? I have a golden so I’m entirely sure
- The Corgi and the Bull dog looked so serious!
- Does this seem like every dog’s fantasy? Kind of like what they dream of when you see them while they’re running in their sleep.
So, go hug your dog today. You never know, it might help stave off an alien invasion…
