Even though they are just a little ways away from becoming the ass kicking, bone crunching Terminators or Transformers they still manage to capture our imagination. We’ve seen movies like Metropolis, Blade Runner, Short Circuit and several others depict robots as humanoids or posessing emotion.
Those of us who are into anime have been keen to see series like Chobits, Appleseed and countless other representations of robots that are common and accepted as natural in the world (I strongly recommend watching Time of Eve if you get the chance. Be forewarned: the release schedule is s-l-o-w.).
But whether they’re androids or giant battle driods, right now none of matters. Because I want the Mini Me of robots:
Oh, man. I want these suckers! How cool would it be to have a race with about a dozen of them?! Better yet, I could have them be the payload of my Milton Bradley Big Track. Or maybe have them sit on my desk at work along with my mini-helicopters, mini-missile defense system and all the other less than 1:1 scale stuff I accumulate to keep me interested throughout the day.
